Re: Interest/Recruitment D&D 5E - Against the Cult of the Reptile God - Closing Jan 19

Okay, last couple of days here.
The characters submitted so far seem good.

To my understanding the only person left to post a build who has shown interest is Shock.

If anybody has questions or wants to submit a character now is a good time to let me know.
Thanks.

Shock's playing a Kobold?!?
A kobold paladin? Hmmmm :D
This is what I get for trying to bust his chops. Of course he'd like the idea. ;~)

Re: Interest/Recruitment D&D 5E - Against the Cult of the Reptile God - Closing Jan 19

Well most of the rich and powerful people all know how to and use writing. And most of the people who would interact with them, even if they can't read, would know their documentations by their seals and insignias. Plus there'd probably still be deeds, permits, and heaven knows what other kinds of p...

Re: Recruitment Thread (The Jabverse)- Recruiting CLOSED

Sorry, init was in my last post on this thread. I probably should have rolled it in the IC. Whoops. Managed an 18, so looks like they get to wreak havoc first. You know I almost was going to offer to use Interpose for Slyce... but why would I take the hit and take away his opportunity to show off hi...

Fine, I will "make a character". Geez, you know how I am loathe to do that. ;)
Huh.
I'm bullying and railroading people before a game has even started! ;~)

Re: Interest/Recruitment D&D 5E - Against the Cult of the Reptile God - Closing Jan 19

Default for PCs or default for NPCs? or, you know, everyone? I'm talking about NPCs. Specifically if you run into a town and decide you need to leave a note, and I hadn't statted out the NPC who found it, I would probably look at his job, social ranking or class to decide. Of course things can be d...

Re: Interest/Recruitment D&D 5E - Against the Cult of the Reptile God - Closing Jan 19

Is this world mostly a literate or illiterate society? Well the backdrop for your characters can indicate otherwise, but without that I would default to most people being illiterate. Nobility, merchants and high ranking soldiers would probably be literate. Most people will know basic math for day t...

Re: Recruitment Thread (The Jabverse)- Recruiting CLOSED

Sorry, wasn't sure if I was supposed to wait for a cue or not before acting next.
Also work is currently kicking my behind.

Init vs Dog Fish... dog shark... Dog dog?: 1D20 = [18] = 18

Just in case you're waiting for init.

Re: Interest/Recruitment D&D 5E - Against the Cult of the Reptile God - Closing Jan 19

Build looks good, TM. One small thing; Your Dex is only 15, which means it should only be a +2 bonus to AC and Dex based attacks. On the bright side your melee with finesse weapons will still be +4, so still a solid bonus at first level. As with all the other characters I plan to give the a more sol...

Re: Interest/Recruitment D&D 5E - Against the Cult of the Reptile God - Closing Jan 19

If a character does unfortunately die, Arkrite, what are your thoughts about how to handle that situation? Assuming a player dies we'll see if the player is interested in continuing with a new character. The options being rolling up a new character (or possibly taking over an NPC), and figuring out...

Re: Interest/Recruitment D&D 5E - Against the Cult of the Reptile God - Closing Jan 19

Yes, so proficiency at first level is +2 bonus.

So (most) ranged attacks would be Dex + Proficiency (+2)

I say most because some ranged attacks rely on strength while some melee weapons can rely on Dex for hitting/damaging.
