Re: Castellia- A Fantasy Setting (Heroes! Legendary Beasts! Cubone!)

Yea, I always found Cubone to be pretty cute, even if he is wearing the bones of a dead relative. Though the initial story is sad and a great part of the game, it does bring up some questions about the Cubone species as a whole. How does Cubone's mother keep dying so they can take their mother's sku...

Re: Prodigyduck Builds

Very nice builds here. I especially like you including the bodycasts for everyone. I do have to ask why you chose Kevin Smith for Ares though? https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-KVWCS3X/0/7a6a3c19/XL/i-KVWCS3X-XL.jpg "Flawless design!" *p-tang! "....Ow." Re: Lead cast for Shazam! film.

Billy Batson cast. Don't really know the kid from anywhere and quick search online isn't showing too much of note. He is around the right age though.

Re: Jab's Builds! (Mesopotamian & Egyptian Gods! Seth! Gaea!)

And that's it for the God Builds! I think I've run out of Pantheons, characters worth statting (I decided to stat up Balor at the last minute, for example), and more! This was a MUCH longer project than I'd anticipated, largely because "start researching every major religion on Earth" is apparently...

Re: J-Mart: HAPPY GUY FAWKES NIGHT - V

I'm sure that it's just a just a rumor BUT... I liked hearing stories of actors getting a little 'odd' in the head when trying to play V. They were having a hard time portraying a character in such heavy costuming. Then again, how many VAs could pull that off with ease? V is also one of the rare ti...

Re: Jab's Builds! (Leir! Cuchullain! Filipino & Egyptian Gods!)

No, Bast and Sekhmet are both female in the Marvel universe. I think Jab just but god instead of goddesses in their descriptions. Not to question their sexual identity, but the artist seemingly gave them at least male bodies in the picture Jab posted... Ah, that's my bad. Since I browse at work the...

Re: Jab's Builds! (Leir! Cuchullain! Filipino & Egyptian Gods!)

Wtf, They made Bast and Sekhmet into dudes? Also weird to use some of the Egyptian names alongside the (more-well-known-and-we-actually-know-how-to-pronounce) Greek names for the majority. The whole mess of conflation over the centuries involving Hathor, Bast, Bastet and Sekhmet is pretty fascinati...

Re: Justice League -

I doubt I'll go see it opening weekend, but I'm sure I'll see it eventually. My general displeasure with DCs movies (besides Wonder Woman) probably means I'll wait until I can see it on a $5 movie night.

Happy Anniversary everyone! Thanks again Ares. I was crushed last year with everything that happened, but having this place set up was great and let all of us still have a place to share in our mutual geekiness. :)

Re: [M&M3E] Presence

Science is a means of talking ABOUT the universe that binds it to a common reality. Magic is a means of talking TO the universe in words that it cannot ignore. The two are rarely compatible. Would making Expertise: Magic based on Presence, in addition to 'performing arts' Expertises based on that a...

religious bias too since the serpent gets the shaft in judeo Christian mythos as the second root of mankinds downfall with women taking the first place trophy. Yea, especially since a couple of different cultures saw them as either symbols of rebirth (the ouroboros) or healing (Rod of Asclepius). T...

Re: Better buy:2e or 3e?

I like 3e more for the most part. It fixed some issues, gave us the affliction power, and moved away from the D&D esque ability scores. That being said there's a few crunchy bits that I miss from 2e, and liked that they came out with the Warriors & Warlocks and Mecha & Manga books. I also miss Drawb...

Re: The Hindu Gods

I thought Shiva was female for most of my life because of the summon in Final Fantasy (specifically VIII) and it wasn't until later that I found out Shiva was a dude. You have no idea how much that grinds my gears. Sure, Shiva can be considered female, sometimes. But the name "Shiva" is masculine. ...
