Re: Malin

Hm, maybe, but then how would you make the mechanic there so that people would walk into it when they can see it? It really only seems to work in a 2D game where you can't just walk around it. FWIW, Triggered is automatically hidden. A Triggered effect lying in wait may be detected with a Perceptio...

And, of course, the source of his powers is his "rigorous routine" of 100 push-ups, 100 crunches, and 100 squats each day.

Re: [OOC] Critical Mass (2e oneshot)

if you want but I am happy to carry on from where we were...Anybody want to run a 2e game? I am already trying to run one. That stretches my humble talents far enough. Truthfully, I'm just not feeling a lot of drive to complete it, although I can probably finish it out as a one-shot if people reall...

Is this game still active? I'm trying to catch up on getting the Games List in shape.

Re: [3E OOC] The J.V. Team

Life is getting a bit better and I may be able to return to playing games this month. I see EpicEclipse is under the shadow of holiday retail, so shall we aim for January?

Re: [OOC] Critical Mass (2e oneshot)

Sorry, I kind of ghosted on everything in the forum. I'm hoping for things to be better soon, and to be able to run games, but with the huge latency we've had here, I think it's best if I call this one.

Re: Jab’s Builds! (Shingo! Iori Yagami! Mature & Vice! Heidern!)

It's also weird that with all of the impractical outfits I've seen fighting game characters wear, from high heels to floor length capes to cocktail dresses, it's the stupid belts between the legs that bug me the most and seem the least practical. It just looks stupid to me rather than stylish. I wa...

Ikari Warrors also had an NES release which was very popular at the time, but definitely shows its warts now (there was no rotary motion, and the protagonists moved slowly, making it extremely difficult to evade incoming fire).

No. I'm saying it's a common real-life plot. :| It really isn't though. It's not only not common it's exceedingly rare. You may be right. I was under the impression that there were better statistics, but it isn't tracked by current agencies, so you only have a few dozen anecdotal cases over the las...

Estimating Weight and Volume

It's oriented towards D&D, and might be a bit less useful in a system that measures encumbrance in tons for many of the characters, but how big is stuff, and how much does it weigh? provides some very handy BOE calculations.

Re: Joker

Does it matter if his lack of romantic success would have been a contributing factor to his turn to evil? Eh, as one comment I saw about the movie (back when one of the publicly available bits of information was that part of his motivation was romantic rejection) was that we don't necessarily need ...
