Re: ThunderCats Roar

Yes, He-Man had some serious camp and comedy, but it didn't shy away from some serious topics. For examples, Prince Adam's struggles to keep his identities apart, while his father wished that his son was more like the hero He-Man. There were several episodes in which Adam was shown to have problems ...

Re: ThunderCats Roar

You know what gets me? The guy on the video claiming that he saw the originals. He's not old enough to have. You know that DVDs are a thing, right? They literally show the boxed sets in this video. Also pretty much all of these series were re-ran and syndicated on cartoon channels well into the 200...

Re: ThunderCats Roar

If anyone has kids, find copies of the original cartoons, do not inflict this Spongebob level tripe on your children, you'll stunt their growth.

And I think there's actual psychological proof of that, too...

Yes, actually. In her book, there's no down side to being Muslim. In fact, she has a Jewish friend (which is you know anything about the Middle East, Muslims HATE the Jews, they honestly believe that Hitler did not go far enough. They LOVE him over there, I have family that lived in several countri...

Re: Thought Experiment: You're put in charge of the next company wide reboot. What do you do?

Ms. Marvel was a fluke, because she was ALWAYS Muslim propaganda, and she always got the emotional validation that the Tumblr crowd seems to love to engage in. She managed to fool people, but not for long, which is why the books got cancelled. Uh. There's so much wrong to unpack there. 'Muslim prop...

Re: Thought Experiment: You're put in charge of the next company wide reboot. What do you do?

Some general notes. Don't abandon diversity initiatives As the amazing success of comics like Ms. Marvel have shown, the pushes towards diversity really aren't what's causing the flagging sales. As such one thing I'm gonna say is that comics should remain diverse and continue to strive to represent...

Tankōbon-sized manga books fill shelf upon shelf in every major bookstore these days... Marvel experimented with that format with Runaways and Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane, but didn’t stick with it. I’m not sure why.
It didn't sell enough to make the cost worth it.

Sadly, Kids are not ever going to read comics again. Not with this age of easy games with their phones... I wish it wasn't so, but... Apple killed the reader market.

Re: [SPOILERS] Avengers Infinity War: Part 1

I thought it was a terrible film. Not character-wise... Well, OK, Thanos was horrible, but all the other Marvel heroes were well acted and written. And don't... You know what, no, I AM going to rant a bit about the Hulk. HOW DO YOU SCARE THE PERSONIFICATION OF RAGE? I mean, it's a fear response to b...

Re: M&M 3e and Luck powers!

So after discussing this with the player, they want to have the Luck Control 'bad luck' ability to activate whenever this Domino ripoff has her power turn on, which is going to be Unreliable and Uncontrolled. The question is, is that a Quirk? Or a Complication? I'm not sure I like the idea, but this...
