Re: WAIFU WARZ - RE:ARCHETYPE - THE CRIME FIGHTER STAKES OUT THE COMPETITION

Aside from all of the above problems (which sums up many of my personal issues with 3e archetypes), I think that the crime-fighter suffers from an attempt to compress way too many ideas in a small space, becoming, basically, a one-size-fits-none container for all characters outside of the other arch...

Re: WAIFU WARZ - RE:ARCHETYPE - THE CONSTRUCT IS FULLY OPERATIONAL

These are some really nice archetypes and I have to agree the ones in the core rules are pretty lackluster.

Re: Jab’s Builds (The Beyonder! Love & Hate! Nightmare & D’Spayre!)

Nice Cosmic entities! I love the Phoenix Force and the pics you used. ? Shouldn't the Phoenix Force itself have it's powers at level 30? I mean, isn't Xavier and Jean in 2019 at 16-18 with their powers (TP, TK)? While hosting the PF like in Morrison's run, Jean would be above 18 with her powers, ma...

Re: Jab’s Builds (The Beyonder! Love & Hate! Nightmare & D’Spayre!)

I thought that the Phoenix generally boosted the powers of the host and the whole "omega level psionics" was just a byproduct of being attached to Jean.

Re: Galactus vs Ganthet!

I'd like to think that a face-off between two entities like Galactus and Ganthet would be something different from a straight out brawl.

Re: Crossgen Comics - Anyone remember them?

Back in the day I had a couple of issues of Mystic and Sojourn, but they never worked for me. There were a lot of good ideas, but the overall theme of the sigil seemed kind of random and tacked on at times.

Re: Jab’s Builds (Order & Chaos! In-Betweener! Eternity! Death!)

I think that the big problem with the X-Men in Secret War I was that, by 1984, Claremont had already been writing them for almost a decade and they were developing into their own universe within the universe with its own internal logic. It's true that the biggest changes (Magneto becoming the New Mu...

Re: Death

The Less Sexy Death: -Marvel's Death doesn't get as much cred as DC/Vertigo's version, but then comic book fans are dorks with pretentious tendencies, and so an artsy goth girl apeals to them more :). I might be alone here, but I was never really taken with Gaiman's version of Death. There's an int...

Re: Avengers End Game

Anyone else think the Spiderman: Far From Home trailer was too soon? No, they need to push this alternate universe thing so they can shove more female characters into our faces. Hopefully, they won't destroy Spider-Gwen, like they did with Captain Marvel, but I have no real hopes anymore. I love ho...

Re: Jab’s Builds (Hook! The Pan! Ashe! Baptiste! Korvac! Uatu!)

In one of my attempts to a merged DC/Marvel continuity, I ended up linking the Watchers to the Guardians of Oa, pretty much establishing them as the "Internal Affairs" department of the Green Lanterns Corps.

To be honest I'm much more excited about "The Mandalorian", rather than Epidose IX.

Re: Jab’s Builds (Destiny! Hook! The Pan! Ashe! Baptiste! Korvac!)

Considering that Shooter's (a person I think was a great editor, but not much of a writer) own baby was Starbrand , which was literally the same overarching plot of a common person becoming some kind of omnipotent entity, I wouldn't be surprised if Korvac was the prototype. Given Shooter also wrote...
