Re: Jab’s Builds (Morgan Le Fay! Jim Jaspers! Fury! Madelyne Pryor!)

Well, I knew that X-Factor pretty much screwed up a lot of stuff in Claremont's plans, but I never read the part about Maddeline. It's kind of interesting that during the first couple of years of her existence the pencilers started to draw her progressively different from Jean (after a while she sta...

Re: Jab’s Builds (Namora! Moira MacTaggert! Magneto!)

OH MY GOD YOU PEOPLE Once again, you have all sorely, SORELY let me down. I was reading my backlog of comic books from the local shop, and you know what I read? Fantastic Four #5 . Featuring a series of vignettes with Guest Artists and tons of gags. And what did I see in this issue? https://i.pinim...

Re: BlueBiscuits Builds (MCU Phase 1: Iron Monger)

Stane is probably my favorite villain from Phase 1 because he hits many of my "how to write a villain" points. He has a very credible and consistent goal, which provides a good conflict with the hero. He's relevant to plot as a character, not just as a threat, providing meaningful interaction throug...

Re: Captain Marvel trailer(original Captain Marvel)

I went to watch Shazam yesterday and while I think that the story had a lot of good in it, I also had some issues. In general, I think it was a marked improvement over the original Curse of Shazam storyline in terms of characterization. Billy isn't the golden boy he was in his original incarnation, ...

Re: Jab’s Builds (The Fathom Five! Tiger Shark! Orka! Stingray!)

I think that at one point Namorita was soft retconned as Namora's "surrogate daughter". The basic idea was that at one point Namora married another Atlantean, but they couldn't have children because of her hybrid physiology. So she decided to try something different and asked a scientist to create a...

Re: BlueBiscuits Builds (MCU Phase 1: Peggy Carter, Howard Stark, Chester Phillips)

I like the fact that you refrained from giving Peggy Attractive (although I like Haylee Atwell a lot), but I think that Howard kind of deserves it, given his spectacular track record.

Re: BlueBiscuits Builds (MCU Phase 1: The Red Skull)

It looks pretty good, although I would scale down Stamina a bit and add some kind of armor, given Hydra's tech level that coat can be easily armored.

Re: Wizards & Wyverns - My fantasy build thread (D&D Classic Fours, Call of the Wild, Shadows & Survivors)

Well, this is it for my demo characters set.

Right now I have some ideas about what to post next, but I'll leave the choice to you. Would you prefer another themed set (i.e. taking characters from an established universe and turning them into D&D) or some random monsters and NPCs?

Re: Jab’s Builds (Pumyra! Bengali! Lynx-O! Mumm-Ra! Namor Builds!)

My personal pet-peeve with Namor is that the most consistent elements of his personality are the negative ones. No matter how many times this author or that author tries to give him a more positive push, we always go back to him being a jerk, often for no real reason. For example, in Namor's 1990 pe...

Re: Jab’s Builds (Pumyra! Bengali! Lynx-O! Mumm-Ra! Namor Builds!)

My favorite Namor storyline involves Daredevil fighting him. Daredevil pulls out all the stops, from dirty trucks to circumstantial environmental stunts and Namor just effortlessly shuts him down. And then departed with no more violence because he respected just how hard Matt was fighting. Or at le...

Re: Jab’s Builds (Nina & Anna Williams! Feng Wei! C. Marduk! Bryan Fury!)

Brian was my go-to character during the brief time I played Tekken. I think it was mostly due to the similarity with Gado from Bloody Roar, who used a similar straight-to-the-face military style.
