Hey! "Tyrone King" was an alias. He turned out to not even be black.

Re: The Multiverse in My Head: Fantastic Victoriana [Rapunzel, Hansel and Gretel Grimm]

Hansel Grimm The Grimms are an ancient family, based in Germany, but active throughout most of Europe, who have been combating supernatural threats for nearly a thousand years. With the advent of the Civil War in Germany, the house of Grimm has also split. In the East, the Grimms remain what they h...

Re: The Multiverse in My Head: Fantastic Victoriana [Rapunzel, Hansel and Gretel Grimm]

Rapunzel The young woman who now calls herself Rapunzel grew up sequestered in a tower located deep within the Black Forest of Germany. The tower lay within a threshold area, a place where the space between the real world and the world of faery was very, very thin. She was abducted at a very young ...

Or your experience may be anecdotal and hardly a representative sample. G. Willow Wilson may be a convert, but she's also a member of the community. I'll still lend more credence to her experience than yours. Anyway, this is a thread about comics. Shouldn't we be talking about comics? Especially wit...

Re: Bendis moving to DC

However, could someone explain to me how Jon's grandfather can show up, and while Clark and Lois are both "what are you doing here" neither of them is doing a "how can you be here"? Jor-El has been around for a while now. He's the guy who kidnapped Tim Drake over in Detective and he's appeared in t...

Re: The Multiverse in My Head: Fantastic Victoriana [Belle and La Bete, Briar Rose]

Wow, this Disney stuff is terrific. Poor Belle! Separated from her beloved (a hunter this time? Shades of Gaston, almost!) for all that time. Thanks. I can't help a little Disney influence, but I'm really trying to go further back than that, which is why I keep bringing up Perrault and the Grimm br...

Re: Jab's Builds! (Jessica Jones! Chemistro! The Purple Man!)

I think Flash's Rogues follow a similar philosophy. Not about rape specifically, those books don't generally get that grim, but just that they kind of self-police one another to keep themselves from going too far. At least, certain runs (and the JLU cartoon) implied some kind of arrangement like that.

The Multiverse in My Head: Fantastic Victoriana [Belle and La Bete, Briar Rose]

Briar Rose The girl Briar Rose was born in a tiny village outside of Dresden in eastern Germany. As a child she was unremarkable, helping her parents with small tasks around the house, going to school, dreaming of one day becoming a school teacher. When she was 11, she accidentally pricked her fing...

Re: Favorite Comic book character, when you were young vs adulthood.

If you’re fond of the Adam West Batman (and aren’t we all, deep down?) then you owe it to yourself to see Batman versus Two-Face . Adam West’s final performance sees him going ham-to-ham against none less than William Shatner! It’s glorious. It's on the to-do list. Finding Batman stuff, or any DC s...

Hopefully, my character for Macyn’s game fits the aesthetic of this parallel-Earth. (I’m not done writing him up, though.)
I'm deliberately staying out of that in order to not have to make those kind of judgements. :) It's Macyn's game and what you guys do with it is entirely your call.

I like the current Fairy Tail builds, can't wait to see how you "Steampunk-up" The Huntsman and Prince Charming(they technically already did Hansel&Gretal...).
There's no Huntsman, but there's definitely a Prince Charming and versions of Hansel and Gretel.
