Re: Disney / Fox Merger Finalized Today

A larger part of me wonders what this will mean to Marvel Comics, if it'll wind up basically being turned into a department that merely controls who gets to outsource their comics rather than self-publish them. It's kind of scary to think of Marvel as we know it ending. I don't think that'll happen...

Re: Bob Richards

I haven't played this series since the fourth game, due to switching to a different console line, but I played the hell out of Tekken 2 and Tekken 3 on the Playstation so this is 100% sheer nostalgia to me. Yeah, big, burly guys are actually rather tough to beat in real life, as their mass makes the...

Oh to everyone who think she needs to smile more, watch the interview she does while playing with puppies, she doesn't stop smiling for the entire run.
Did anyone here even mention the smiling thing?
It has been mentioned a lot elsewhere, so catsi was probably just venting in general.

Re: Captain Marvel MCU

I haven't gotten to see the movie yet, 'cause poor, but apparently Brie Larson mentioned being a fan of Sailor Moon, so someone made fanart;

Ms. Larson herself seems to approve.

Re: Tomorrow Woman

She could be like the replicants from Blade Runner; a synthetic organism that simulates life to the point of more or less being a form of life, and thus able to adequately simulate psionic powers. Another thing worth keeping in mind is that artificial brains being advanced enough to develop mental p...

Captain Marvel 46k reviews in its opening weekend

Somethings rotten in Denmark and I don't think its the movie
It got review bombed before it was even out

Re: Jab’s Builds (Proteus! Paladin! Mega Man 11! Triumph!)

Yeah, "Everything You Know Is Wrong" Retcon Heroes like Triumph, The Sentry, and Blue Marvel can be really annoying (At least Blue Marvel isn't an asshole, and definitely the least annoying of the three). I'm sure they CAN be done right, but I can't really think of an example. Jessica Jones and Blu...

Re: Captain Marvel MCU

What type of product? Superhero movies? What about this movie is so objectionable that makes it so that you don't want to see further movies of a type you enjoy? The whole right-wing backlash is honestly outright perplexing to me. The film is pretty damn mild in terms of its supposed 'feminist' att...

Re: DnD v3.5 and Wizards vs. Sorcerers

Due to that sheer level of versatility, wizards are in fact considered to be the far stronger class between the two in terms of optimisation.

Re: The most petty thing you'd do as a comics creator

He'd actually make a better Superboy Prime than Superboy Prime. Which reminds me, need to fix that whole mess with the original Crisis survivors. Fixing Superboy Prime is actually really easy, because a pre-existing comic has already laid down the groundwork for that, and it gives us an easy enough...

Re: Jab’s Builds (Anna! Kristoff! Olaf! Marshmallow! ELSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!)

Gay creators see it as something they want, One thing to expand upon here; there really isn't all that much in the way of material aimed at a queer audience, something that has only recently started changing and not in especially large amounts, and this is the driving force behind a lot of popular ...

Re: The most petty thing you'd do as a comics creator

- Do a story where we learn that William Burnside, as "Steve Rogers", sired a son, who in the late 1970s used a variation of the super-soldier serum (FLAG - Full Latent Ability Gain), to become "Captain America" briefly, complete with transparent shield used as a windscreen on his motorbike. I'll a...

Re: The most petty thing you'd do as a comics creator

*snip* Very well. I'll just try and refrain from commenting on such matters in the future. I just thought targetting quite so many heroines at once, and a major feminist critic whose supposed negative traits are really overstated was, to say the least, a bad look. I can say however that I agree wit...
