Re: Discord... Do we have a channel?
You're more than welcome to use our https://discord.gg/KSVR2pS -- we're the "Unofficial M&M Discord Server." We have ~1000 members and run loosely connected "one shot" games 3-4 times a week (mostly EU and US Time Zone friendly.) If you'd want an Echoes specific channel, that...

Re: Feint Maneuver: When do you use it?
Looking into it, I found this text under Deception:
"Uses of Deception in action rounds are generally standard actions, although you can attempt to deceive as a move action by taking a –5 penalty to your check."
I'm going to have to rethink this! This bit changes everything for me!

Re: M&M 3e Chain Lighitning!
When I built this sort of power for a character, I used the Split modifier. Hit one target, they took the full damage. Hit 2, each took half damage. Hit 3, each took 1/3rd damage. Not perfect, but it worked out well enough.

Feint Maneuver: When do you use it?
Feinting lets you use a Standard Action to make a target Vulnerable to your next attack. In all my M&M games, I can think of less than 5 times a player has used this maneuver. The opportunity cost is simply too high and the benefit is too low. Consider, against a target with a Dodge of 10, you h...

Re: Help on Character Build
Okay. Here's an update on the sheet. The really extensive senses have been broken up into two parts, one that is "always on" and one that requires that he concentrate on. He's still very capable of ruining Investigation missions, so it may still be overboard (I have not heard back from my ...

Re: Help on Character Build
a few mechanical things that strike me: Skills are purchased 2 per PP - you spent 55 points Quickness 3, Limited to one type of task is the same cost as Quickness 4 (Not trying to min max you, but this stood out to me) Omni Senses if I read correctly has Vision Penetrates Concealment, but you have ...

Help on Character Build
I'm building a replacement character for an ongoing game and wanted to have other eyes look over the sheet for feedback purposes. The idea is someone with massive sensory and mental capabilities who can come in and be capable of generating information and leads for the more action oriented members o...

Forum for Online Play?
I pretty much exclusively play on virtual table tops like Fantasy Grounds or Roll20 these days. It's not always easy to find groups for them, though. I checked GR and here but neither seems to have a sub-forum for recruiting to such games. Is there a general aversion to such among the community? Is ...

Re: Disembodied Minions?
Thanks for the suggestions, folks. I ended up not going with Minion. It cut into the overall effectiveness of the characters skills a bit, but...it doesn't feel as if I'm going against the spirit of the rules.

Re: Disembodied Minions?
I am generally not a fan of making minions that basically exist to offload utility powers and skills from the player. Not meaning to accuse you of doing that, but that's often how "NPC Assistants" turn out. You can mitigate it a bit by making the minion their own character, able to disagr...

Disembodied Minions?
I was thinking of making a character who has an AI assistant, a la Jarvis from the MCU or Blue Beetles Carapace. My thought was to build this as a minion, but that feels kind of cheesy. Strength 0, Stamina 0, Agility 0, Dexterity 0, Fighting 0, Intellect 4, Awareness 0, Presence 0 Advantages Assessm...
