Re: Jab’s Builds! (Leprechauns! Lavender! Lissa Russell! The Muppets!)
Rowlf maintained a certain level of popularity even later on thanks to the Muppet Babies cartoon.

Re: Jab’s Builds! (Dark Edge! Proletariat! Lord Templar!)
I believe Triathalon's "win" over Templar was a case of in universe jobbing. Wasp noted how it didn't make sense for Templar to defeat Pagan if Thor could defeat Templar, or how Templar could lose to Triathlon. It was actually part of Tremont's plan to build up Triathalon's popularity and ...

Re: Hall of Shame admissions
It took a little while, but Echoes has basically gotten to a place where I have the easiest moderator job in history. Everyone is pretty well behaved and self-moderates, so there hasn't been a need for me to break out the red text in a long while. Which I'm very happy with.

Re: Walter Declun
https://comicvine.gamespot.com/a/uploads/original/0/77/430501-declunw.jpg ah, there's that Humberto Ramos "what the f*ck is this even trying to be?" art again. He looks like he's either trying to do his best impression of the "sassy black woman head shake", or that he's the &quo...

Re: How to make superhero settings more immersive
This is a good story indeed and a well explanation for a more traditional super-hero world. Thanks! And yeah, I find that having the kind of genre conventions you want in a setting just requires a little set up or even just a semi-plausible explanation. It kind of annoys me when folks look at tradi...

Re: How to make superhero settings more immersive
How has popular media changed since the appearance of superhumans? This doesn't need to be directly related to superhero media -- are there any significant alterations that happened butterfly-effect style (like the appearance of actual costumed adventurers meaning pirate and horror comics continued...

Re: How to make superhero settings more immersive
I would like to fire up the thread with a new question. How does the inheritance of genetic based super-powers work? Do mutants\novas\mutates have a %50 chance to pass their powers to their offspring? Do they produce powered children all the time? Are the exact powers and power levels of children r...

Re: How to make superhero settings more immersive
So, with life finally slowing down enough for me to do more than the occasional comment and actually contribute something semi-creative, I thought I'd tackle the updated questions posed in this thread . . . only to realize I never actually responded to the original questions in the thread. I'd just ...

Re: The Monkey Prince
Yet another one of Ares’ art pieces, and probably the one build I’ve done so far that has stressed me out the most for a couple of reasons – one being I love 70s Martial Arts movies (many of which draw on legends of Sun Wukong, the basis of this character), second being I know Ares is a huge fan of...

Re: The T-Verse [Earth 75]: New Ready To Play Builds
Very cool to see some of my characters done as blind builds based purely off their designs. I'm honestly impressed with your restraint, since I remember "Musketeer" being your favorite design of the bunch.

Re: Jab’s Builds! (Seong Mi-Na! Rock! Astaroth! Ashlotte! Voldo!)
It's funny how committed they were to the original Soul Edge / Soul Blade characters all having a bladed weapon, yet they also really wanted a nunchaku wielder, so they stuck these piddly little blades on the ends of the nunchaku.

Re: DC Adventures Universe History Question
It might also have been a reference to Busiek's Trinity story that went into detail about the life essence that dwells within planets. But given the importance the various Lantern Corps. had at the time of the story, it was likely a reference to the Life Entity. Which I'll agree with Davies, was dum...

Re: How do you worldbuild settings?
For me it depends on what kind of stories I want to tell with my setting. Once I figure that out I start working on figuring out the history of the setting, how the metaphysics of the setting works, the major players, and create as much potential for fun and storytelling as I can. Figuring out the c...
