Well, it was certainly a different design decision to turn She-Ra into a boy.

Re: Jab's Builds! (Tai Cheetah, Foxy Roxy, Dali Llama! Luke Cage!)

Why didn't they just have Bushmaster's son acquire powers, instead of doing the weird resurrection via draining his own child's life-force thing, I wonder? And then they killed him all over again in the same story. Seems pointless. Man, Cage has AWFUL villains for most of his solo run. Thank goodne...

Re: Jab's Builds! (Tai Cheetah, Foxy Roxy, Dali Llama! Luke Cage!)

Honestly? Given how slipshod Marvel is about continuity these days-and OK, a villain coming back from seeming death isn't quite the same, but you know the writer/editor just forgot the first Diamondback was long dead-I'd just assume it was an impostor. Especially with the acquired without explanati...

Re: Jab's Builds! (Tai Cheetah, Foxy Roxy, Dali Llama! Luke Cage!)

Have the ever addressed how Luke shaves? Clark has to use his own heat vision. I know Luke isn’t nearly as invulnerable as Clark, but he’s still gotta be tougher than a Gillette safety razor, right? Apparently his hair isn't as durable as the rest of him. In the Netflix series I believe he just sha...

Re: Jab's Builds! (Tai Cheetah, Foxy Roxy, Dali Llama! Luke Cage!)

Yeah, occasionally they needed to get special lasers designed by Tony Stark that could actually cut his skin to operate on him medically. Though with Danny's healing abilities, that should render the issue largely moot, especially given he can actually use his chi abilities to expel bullets from a w...

Re: Jab's Builds! (Tai Cheetah, Foxy Roxy, Dali Llama! Luke Cage!)

Actually, I could really see the series being a family book, with Misty, Jessica and Colleen having just as much a role in the book, possibly with Uncle Shang Chi as well. Misty and Jessica can do detective work, Misty is a gun-fighter with a bionic arm, Jessica is a flying powerhouse, and Colleen ...

Re: Jab's Builds! (Tai Cheetah, Foxy Roxy, Dali Llama! Luke Cage!)

Luke and Danny worked very well together, and done right a series about the pair can be immensely entertaining. Though in some ways, I feel Luke benefited more from the pairing than Danny. Danny is the greatest martial artist of a city full of immortal martial arts masters. He has legit chi powers a...

Re: Your Favorite Crossovers - Video Game edition

Heh, apparently the character Blue Steel from CoH was so popular and responsible for so many awesome moments he was considered the Chuck Norris of the Patriot City. For a while, Blue Steel was the subject of a great many Chuck Norris one-liner jokes. Most of these jokes, like the Chuck Norris jokes,...

Re: What's new with the big two: Marvel and DC Comics discussion thread.

Also, I'm going to need someone to help me with Kamala Khan. From everything I've read about her, the new Ms. Marvel is someone on paper I should like. My understanding is that she's the daughter of Muslim immigrants, and is suppose to be kind of a "Fun Personified" superhero geek girl, dealing with...

Re: World of Freedom 3.2 - The Sentinels (updated)! Meta-4! The Algernon Files

Hope everything is okay on your end, Davies, and that things go well with those other projects you want to focus on. For my part, I recently started going through this thread, and found a lot of the updates, story ideas and such to be very good and compelling, nice updates to the established charact...

Re: What's new with the big two: Marvel and DC Comics discussion thread.

Simone has developed a bad case “Frank Miller Syndrome,” when a comic book writer becomes more concerned with their celebrity status than the quality of their work; where contemporary works seem like a shallow parody of their own previous works; and the quality of contemporary works are so poor the...

Re: Your Favorite Crossovers - Video Game edition

Watching some of those Master X Master videos, the Statesman one especially, reminded me of how much I loved City of Heroes back in the day. I actually started re-reading the old CoH novels and going through its TV Tropes page. I even started playing Champions Online again just to relive the feeling...

Re: Onyx Path is Not for... Nazis?

On the plus side, the article that started this whole mess has been deleted and RPG.net topic about it has been closed. Apparently the article's creator got hit with certain facts that forced them to delete the post and post up a non-apology, and the thread debate became a mess when people actually ...

Re: Onyx Path is Not for... Nazis?

I mean, Onyx Path put out Beast the Primordial. Clearly there are some messed up people there. But I find this whole mess to be incredibly disingenuous. At least when superheroes uses Nazis, they're actual supervillains. The Perpetually Outraged/Offended crowd have turned it into a word for anyone w...

Re: Pantha

the idea is you block incoming attacks and then counter, something that can't be done right in a one-move-per-action RPG). Why not write that up as Deflection with the Reflection extra, or maybe have Deflection with a linked basic unarmed attack? No, no, it's not like a Deflection thing- it's more ...
