Re: Jab's Builds! (Sersi! Starfox! The Deviants! Kronos! The Celestials!)

As for the Celestials. . . I like the designs and the concept to a degree, but to another degree I don't really care for them. Basically, they're just too powerful, numerous and mysterious. Galactus is special because there's one of him and he's about as powerful as you can get before you get to con...

Re: Jab's Builds! (Sersi! Starfox! The Deviants! Kronos! The Celestials!)

If there's anything today's social media society has taught me, no matter what you do, you're going to piss off someone. In an age of "trigger warnings", "safe spaces", and other such nonsense, someone out there is going to get upset at you. In which case, you sbould just do what you want, have a so...

Re: Jab's Builds! (Thena! Makkari! Ajak! Sersi! Starfox! The Deviants!)

I love how blase' Danny and Kro are about all the weirdness around them. Danny's belly button just shot lightning at someone, then a demon shows up talking like Nick Fury and dual wielding pistols. Meanwhile, from Kro's perspective, he just found a human at the bottom of the ocean, dressed like a ku...

Re: Bendis moving to DC

it wasn't the fans, but rather Geoff Johns that demanded his rehabilitation. I'm guessing you never heard of HEAT, or Hal's Emerald Advancement Team. Once Hal went full on Parallax, Hal's fans formed a group to try and get him brought back. They basically had a near- decade long combination letter ...

Re: Jab's Builds! (Shinto Gods! Ikaris! Thena! Makkari! Ajak! Sersi!)

Sersi was definitely the "do anything" Avenger in her tenure on the team. There were several points where she'd just handily solve a problem thanks to her crazy Eternal skills, whether it was turning a squad of Avengers casually give her fellow Avengers gills so they could travel underwater, or prot...

Re: Bendis moving to DC

Maybe a new, same but different, version of Wandjina can join the Justice League. I hope your joking,as that whole mess was one of the WORST Justice League stories ever(it was OK in the Detroit years, but not later.....) :( Funny enough, but when I think of a Bendis Justice League, I think JL Detroit.

Re: Jab's Builds! (Leir! Cuchullain! Filipino & Egyptian Gods!)

There was a weird bit in Black Panther where they teamed up T'Challa with Moon Knight, and they went out of their way to say that the Panther God of Wakanda was also Bast of the Egyptian pantheon. And if I remember right, because of that, Khonshu was subservient to the Panther God, and by extension,...

Justice League -

So, Justice League is coming out soon, and I'm not sure what to think about that. I had mixed feelings about Man of Steel. I hated Batman v. Superman. I loved Wonder Woman. So how this movie goes is anyone's guess. I'm hoping for something that finally feels like an Avengers film with DC characters,...

Re: Happy Anniversary

Our first anniversary. It seems kind of weird that this place has been up for a full year. When I started this, I had no real ambitions or plans for this place. I just saw a bad situation and a community that I didn't want to get broken up anymore than it already had. There were a lot of threats abo...

Re: Better buy:2e or 3e?

I overall probably prefer 3rd edition, but there are some things from 2nd edition I prefer as well. I was glad when they got away from the strictly D&D stats and the notion of (9-10 = +0), (11 - 12 = +1) nonsense and just focused on the bonuses themselves to clean things up. I prefer the 3rd ed. ski...

Re: Thor: Ragnarok

I had a lot of fun with it, though my favorite Marvel films are still Avengers 1 and Capt. America 1, 2 and 3. But Thor 3 gets props for being a bit more fun, having much more of an epic/high powered feel, and having extreme changes happen in the setting. I won't talk spoilers until next week to giv...
