Re: The most petty thing you'd do as a comics creator

Definitely agree about restoring those relationships as well. Toss in gettin Clark, Lois and their son Jon together as a family. Because screw Bendis. Also Dick and Kory, because screw Bat Editorial. Also get Colossus and Kitty Pryde married finally, because that bait and switch was just infuriating...

RIP Larry DiTillio

On March 15th, Larry DiTillio passed away. Larry was a major force in 80s animation, being one of the major creators of He-Man and She-Ra, as well as working on shows like Beast Wars and Babylon 5. He was also a RPG creator, having written the Call of Cthulhu adventure Masks of Nyarlethotep.

Re: The most petty thing you'd do as a comics creator

I'd take great pains to point out that Carol's current predicament has nothing to do with her being a woman, only that people wanted to use her status as a woman for their own advantage. Her career in the military was beyond reproach, her time as an Avenger marred largely by the failure of her teamm...

Re: The most petty thing you'd do as a comics creator

I'm not sure if this counts as petty or not, but amongst several things I'd do at Marvel, one of them would include making some changes to Carol Danvers. I'd still keep her as Captain Marvel within the Marvel Universe, and would still try to set her up as Marvel's version of Wonder Woman, but I'd al...

The crossover comic was a lot of fun, I hope this proves to be more of the same.

Re: Bladewind's M&M 3ed Builds

Huh. Neat! Interesting idea doing a "Death of Superman" story with the Marvel Family. Making the hooded "Eradicator" an amnesiac Shazam is an interesting idea, as is the notion of Mary and Freddy being de-powered to create a real impact on the world. Re-using Black Vulcan in this way is actually a p...

Because again, Ennis & Dillon.
It's stuff like this, along with the gratuitous violence and spiteful way the duo treats things like superheroes that pretty much makes it impossible for me to enjoy anything they do.

Oh to everyone who think she needs to smile more, watch the interview she does while playing with puppies, she doesn't stop smiling for the entire run.
Did anyone here even mention the smiling thing?

Re: Jab’s Builds (The Punisher! Jigsaw! Punisher Foes! Microchip!)

Funny enough, the writer DOES admit to using the Seekers in that Round Robin storyline specifically because he wrote the Iron Man and Fantastic Four issues that starred them, so there WAS a bit of "creators pet/character transfer" going, just not from any of the main characters. Which was fine, the ...

Re: Jab’s Builds (The Punisher! Jigsaw! Punisher Foes! Microchip!)

Yeah, it's weird for me to think of a Punisher without Microchip, since he seemed pretty important to the mythos from when I was reading Frank. I guess the problem was that Micro humanized Frank too much, gave him someone to talk to, gave him his gear, etc. Garth Ennis and folks like him want Frank ...

Re: Jab's Rifts Builds (Ninja Crazy! Ninja Juicer! Dragon 'Borgs!)

Given the stupid number of MDC a lot of suits had, increasing the damage of the firepower just made sense. Especially with the kind of stupid differences in damage you could wind up with. A 6d6 weapon technically has a range of 6 and 36, while a 1d6X10 can do between 10 and 60. It could take a ridic...

Re: The Showdown at the Litterbox: D6 Star Wars Builds

I simultaneously have way too much, yet not nearly enough WEG Star Wars books, along with Ghostbusters, Indiana Jones, TORG and a few others. Very solid "classic" RPG system, easy to translate into other systems or run on its own.

Re: Jab's Rifts Builds (Ninja Crazy! Ninja Juicer! Dragon 'Borgs!)

yeah I liked that one too. One of the modifications that was made was a jump pack for the suit. No flight but the GM agreed on longer jumps which made for some fun combats Actually, the jump pack could do sustained flight, but sustained flight at max speed would eventually burn out the rockets. You...

Re: Jab's Rifts Builds (Ninja Crazy! Ninja Juicer! Dragon 'Borgs!)

I forget, what’s in Free Quebec that I didn’t stat up already? It's the Glitterboy version of the Juicer book, with a half-dozen or so armor variants. yeah free Quebec is basically the coalition war campaign but focused on Quebecs troops and society, it has a listing of tis glitterboy forces and pa...
