Re: What's new with the big two: Marvel and DC Comics discussion thread.

So, the first issue of Geoff Johns new "Shazam" series came out. And I was actually surprised. I didn't hate it. I don't like it, but I don't hate it. That might be damning with faint praise, but at least here I didn't end the book wanting to do bad things to Geoff Johns. Because you have to unders...

Another few updates today - did some touching up on the Hulk - he's one of the entries I'm trying to really get 'right'. Played with Galactus a little bit too.
Will check it out.

Re: RIP Stan Lee

Favorite cartoon cameo? Well, I`ve heard that his cameo for the next Avengers film is done. If there`s a scene where people (heroes and citizens alike) come back in a reverse of how they disintegrated, or however they do it... and they present Stan Lee as one of them... I will seriously lose my sh!...

Re: Omniverse Sourcebook

Pretty decent update today - added sixteen pages between both volumes - added Galactus' ships, Taa II, the Star Sphere/World Ship, and the Punisher Automations; the Hulk entry has picked up Hulk 2099, Devil Hulk; and the Iron Man entry has added several Iron Man armors. In the second volume, I upda...

Thanks! I will probably start with a few characters that are near-and dear (like Jean Grey, Phoenix, etc) along with some others near the beginning (Abomination, Binary, Black Cat, Black Widow). I will definitely ask you for input and advice.
Look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Re: Omniverse Sourcebook

I think Feeble is a good stat to have, as well as the Beyond one. I don't agree how they used to put Franklin Richards and Aunt May in the feeble category. They are both actually "typical" for their ages. Perhaps someone with a serious disease state or near-paralyzed would be "Feeble" strength. I k...

Re: Omniverse Sourcebook

I may have a little down time over the next few Holidays and will try to work on some characters! I am by no means a character-builder, but many characters I am very familiar with, as well as their previous stats and where I think they should be listed. I will start there. I would love to help with...

Re: RIP Stan Lee

While I am absolutely devastated that he passed , in some way it is a good thing. He was lost without his amazing wife Joan, they now can be together in eternity. His work will live on , in us and our love for the medium. He was one of a kind.

Re: The most petty thing you'd do as a comics creator

I'll be the first to admit that Jane-Thor was pretty badly handled from the word go. Which is a shame because the concept actually works. Jane Foster wielding the hammer is fine, the look she had wasn't bad at all, and the idea of someone using powers that made they cancer worse was something worth...

Re: The most petty thing you'd do as a comics creator

This will sound horrible, I would make ALL the Jane Foster Thor run be a hallucination on her part due to her treatment for cancer. With Thor and Odin there for her to enter HER afterlife for what she did for Thor and humanity in her medical practice o she er the years. I'll be the first to admit t...
