Re: Captain Marvel MCU

Brie Larson has no charisma. Her voice isn't going to inspire or intimidate or command anyone. Her physical presence goes from "vulnerable" at worst, to "bored" at best. I'm worried that "powerhouse" isn't really in her acting range. The MCU hasn't really had a complete failure yet, but seeing them ...

Re: Black Lightning vs Luke Cage tv series

While I enjoyed the new season of Iron Fist overall, that's one of the things that I had to struggle to ignore. Two people, fighting over the power of Shou-Lao the Undying that they've recently stolen, only have part of it themselves... are still better at using it than Danny in season one. Davos ir...

Re: Black Lightning vs Luke Cage tv series

Chi bullets were specifically an Orson Randall thing tho. Danny using guns is just off. He should have just caught the bullet or intentionally redirected it into something to make his point, which is more in keeping with his character. Oh, yes, absolutely. I agree 100%. I'm only pointing out the fl...

Re: Black Lightning vs Luke Cage tv series

Classic Marvel vs DC. Character vs Flash, pun intended ... except Ironfist sadly. Chi bullets? No, just no. Orson Randall can channel the power of the Iron Fist through his guns in the best Iron Fist story ever, Immortal Iron Fist, also Randall's only appearance. Does this channel allow Danny to mo...

Re: "There Can Be Only One Anime"

This must be why One Punch Man gets hate. People jealous that it is the Flavor of the Month, and their favorite isn't. OPM is amazing.

Re: J-Mart: El Jaguar, Razor-Fist, Bolphunga the Unrelenting, Gambit, Beast, Colossus, Storm

LOL, yeah. I mean, even though I believe a shared universe should respect continuity to an extent-a LOT of the X-Men just need to have their histories "steamlined" by editorial. The books and characters have been around for going between 40-50 years now, and that's a lot of accumulated baggage. All...

I am thoroughly enjoying t.d his game, it in my opinion gets Peter Parker struggles and his responsibility of being Spider-Man. Curious as others view it.
Only got to play for about an hour so far, but it's amazing.

Re: Winnie the Pooh

I've heard it said that the Winnie the Pooh merchandise basically equals all merchandise of Mickey, Donald, Goofy and other classic Disney characters combined. The character is massively popular. My very first possession of any kind was a stuffed Winnie the Pooh. I was a couple days old. My mom sti...

My post count has never been amazing, but I've been around quite a while.

I don't think that post was even particularly early.

Re: J-Mart: Black Manta, Talons, Sharknado!, El Jaguar, Razor-Fist

I'd like to see Razor-Fist go up against any real weapon-users in the setting and get wrecked, and have it explained to him that hands make weapons a lot more flexible and effective. Make the dude cry.

Re: Pulse Pounding Adventures - Pulp and Film Serial Discussion

Interestingly, the successors to Lovecraft became much more iconic than Lovecraft's original work, to the point where, when "casuals" think of Lovecraft, they're probably not. For instance, when Lovecraft describes the horrific entities he's famous for - which is EXTREMELY rare - it's far more abstr...

Pamela Adlon is gorgeous, sure. But without context, it doesn't sound like you're talking about her. And context, sir, is dead.

A deer took out my head-light once. I barely clipped it too.

On a more serious notes. Mosquitoes actually kill more people than any other animal. Leastaways according to a quick 'net search.
A moose once bit my sister.

Re: Batgirl III's Character Thread (Solitaire)

Jane Seymour could play a more sympathetic character in the fleeting moments between sleeping and waking than Denise Richards could with six hundred takes. A still photograph of Jane Seymour could perform better than Denise Richards. Don't get me wrong, Denise Richards is cute as a button and has a...
