Re: Banshee

-The most famous aspect of Irish folklore beyond the Leprechan is the Banshee ("Bean Side"= "Fairy Woman", sorta)- a herald of death, whose wailing cry is heard by the family of the soon to be departed. Visual descriptions vary, but most are quite pale and wear dresses. Most descriptions are of sho...

Re: Jab’s Builds! (Hydra! Jabberwock! The Jersey Devil! Dragon!)

Nice. I always liked Talos in Jason and the Argonauts. My own head canon has that island being the same as the island of Colossa in Seventh Voyage of Sinbad and also the island at the end of the 1998 movie Deep Rising, as they're all in the same general location (the Indian Ocean). I mean hey, in Ar...

Re: Jab’s Builds! (Ganesha! Kali! Anubis! Nuckelavee! Werewolf!)

The Winged Panther was something I'd always wondered about.

The only time I can think of one used in pop culture was in an episode of The Real Ghostbusters, the one where Ray goes back to his home town and the Busters end up fighting a giant winged panther ghost juiced by negative energies.

Re: Jab’s Builds! (Baba Yaga! Ganesha! Hanuman! Kali! Anubis!)

I didn't have many of these, aside from Yama In my MIMP, Yama was the supreme leader (being a solid 100) and was often whom the Imp schemed against to gain power. My Yama was also pretty bitching because he was one of the glow in the dark monsters, so that was kinda cool. I had no idea Karnak was ma...

Re: Jab’s Builds! (Nessie! Lamia! Ghouls! Baba Yaga! Ganesha!)

He did help the Ultra brothers fight some kaiju though......what? He did! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1SvfSGyJhrQ But yeah, this is a thing....and the weird thing is the events after the movie are even weirder. I strongly suggest checking the video out, even if just to see the kaiju get REKT SON...

one thing about Lon Chaney's Phantom is actually used HOOKS in his nose to make it look that way.

Re: Jab’s Builds! (Warlock! Bigfoot! Yeti! Frankenstein's Monster!)

Frankie was pretty tough in the MIMP comic. Even at an inch tall, he could wallop a grown human and they'd feel it (as opposed to the Vampire's hypnotism, Medusa's stone gaze, and Spring Heeled Jack's death gaze only having minor, momentary effects on full sized humans) He also did the best out of a...

Re: Jab’s Builds! (Harpy! Leviathan! Chimera! Invisible Man! Catoblepas!)

The Swamp Beast actually got a good bit of play in the MIMP comic book. He was able to gather up all sorts of slimy things and such to grow to enormous size (about ten feet or so) to do battle with the similarly sized Tyrannosaurus Rex after it had absorbed enough radiation to grow back to that size...

Re: Jab’s Builds! (Manticore! Cerberus! Dryad! Harpy! Leviathan!)

Yeah, evan as a kid I had wished there were more to it than that, so it could be a strategy style game It especially makes things dumb when the later editions altered the peak numbers, so that random guys would vastly overpower the Great Beast or the Dragon. Yeah, I'm with you there but it's not li...
