Re: BriarThrone Reviews: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS)

It finally came to Netflix and Mark Hamil is rather good in the film. If it wasn't named Star Wars: Episode 8, I probably would have enjoyed it more as the visual effects and production value was pretty good. Given what it is, the writing is expected to be a little bland. The biggest issue I had was...

Re: CW Superheroes: The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow

It was a.nice touch. For all my cripes against these shows, there is always little details that are enjoyable surprises.

Re: CW Superheroes: The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow

After watching all the episodes, there was the general issues always present in the cw super hero shows, but it was comic book fun. Oliver seems less gruff and brooding now, which is a big improvement. Brooding and gruff for too long is just depressing. The end was meh, but I guess they had to do it...

Re: CW Superheroes: The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow

I've only seen the Supergirl portion, but so far I like it. There is alot of stuff mentioned that reminded me of why I don't watch those shows, but it was a.good catch up. Overall it feels very comic book like.

Re: CW Superheroes: The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow

I've stopped watching all of the shows except legends of tomorrow, so I am on the fence watching the other episodes just because there will be alot of context missing. I've dvred them just in case though.

Re: CW Superheroes: The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow

Given the time frame and the technology, maybe "time travel particles" made them show up as meta humans. The drones might also have sensors like the Sentinels. Sara came back from the dead, Ray uses a power suit("power suit particles"), Mick has that gun thing, and Nate has the turning into steel. T...

Re: CW Superheroes: The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow

Legends of tomorrow is the only one I still watch. Before it used to be a.show I watched to keep up with the DC this universe on cw. Now it's the only show I watch because it embraced what made it bad before to make it fun. All of the issues like plot holes, time paradoxes, and stupid actions is sti...

Re: Renting (vs) Buying

I went through this same sort of coice when my wife got pregnant with our daughter now nearly 9 months old. While the immediate costs are lower for an apartment and all you have to worry about is utilities and rent, it came down to the long term for me. For rent, once you pay it the money is gone an...
